Preparing for Completion/Possession Dates

After all subjects have been removed, here are some things you have to attend to:

1) If you haven't already, you must choose a lawyer or notary.
* if you need help finding a lawyer or notary public, Michael will be happy to assist you.
2) Contact Michael with your lawyer or notary information.
3) Of course you must prepare to move.
4) Gather all manuals for any appliance, security system, etc. you are leaving for the purchasers. Leave them with the home.
5) Gather all keys and leave them with the home.
6) It is recommended that you shampoo the carpets after moving everything out of your home.

Completion Day:
In preparation for the completion day, your lawyer and the purchasers' lawyer will prepare documents to transfer the title of the property to the purchasers. This is the day the funds from the sale of your home will be transferred to you. Also, your lawyer will have a detailed list of all the expenses incurred. Your lawyer will arrange a time to meet with you to sign the final documents.

Possession Day:
By this day you should have everything removed from the property. On or before this day, you will give the keys to the home to Michael, who will then pass them on to the Purchasers.
